Miranda Hentoff has been composing music for film and television since 2000. Prior to forming her company, Miranda Hentoff Music, Hentoff worked as a music educator by day and a singer/ songwriter by night.
As an artist in residence at the Lincoln Center Institute in New York City, an aesthetic education program with sister institutes throughout the world, Hentoff has worked with thousands of school children, ages 3-18.
In addition to working with children, she has used her creative approach of hands-on, interactive music education to teach preschool, elementary and high school teachers how to incorporate music in their classrooms. Hentoff has taught for sister institutes at the State Universities of Albany, Binghamton and Rochester, as well as Dartmouth College, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Memphis State University. Hentoff also helped establish the Victoria Arts Center Institute in Melbourne, Australia.
